Ann Hoyt to Enter 2015 Co-op Hall of Fame

This spring, food co-ops are urged to honor one of their outstanding trainers and leaders, Ann Hoyt, while supporting co-op development through the Cooperative Hall of Fame.  The Hall honors decades of contributions by past and current outstanding leaders, and at the same time it generates support for future co-op development.  Each year a handful of the cooperative movement’s many leaders are nominated by past honorees and then sponsored for induction by many co-ops that choose to contribute in the inductee’s name toward future co-op development.

The Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF) administers the proceedings, and all funds raised on behalf of Cooperative Hall of Fame inductees go toward future co-op development.  Typical uses include co-op board training and scholarships for attendance at co-op training conferences.  To learn more about CDF and the history and current nominees, visit www.Heroes.coop.  For how you and your co-op can contribute, see below.

The 2015 Cooperative Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on May 7 at the National Press Club. This year’s group of four inductees includes Dr. Ann Hoyt, who has contributed hugely to food co-ops in particular, along with her leadership contributions nationally and internationally through NCBA CLUSA.The other 2015 inductees are Daniel T. Kelley, William J. Nelson, and Judy Ziewazc.
